Our Mission is two-fold.
First, we strive to pay homage to our Celtic Ancestors who were the first to take on the jobs of Police Officers and Firefighters when no one else would. We honor their customs and remember their sacrifices.
Second, we offer assistance to the families of Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters and EMTs who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We also assist those officers, firefighters and EMTs who suffer catastrophic illnesses or injuries sustained while on duty.
Anyone may join the Police Emerald Society of Tidewater.
Only First Responders of Celtic descent can be ACTIVE MEMBERS.
First Responders NOT of Celtic descent and Civilians who ARE of Celtic descent may be ASSOCIATE MEMBERS. Anyone who is neither a first responder nor of Celtic descent can be an AUXILLARY MEMBER. Only Active and Associate members may vote and hold Executive Board positions. Associate members may not hold board positions of President, Vice-President or Treasurer.
If you're interested in joining our Society, please download the application, fill it out and mail it with your check for $25.00 (make payable to The Police Emerald Society of Tidewater)
